About Me
Spokane’s Reactive Dog Trainer
Hello!
I’m Carolyn, a Spokane native, owner of two pointy-eared pups, and dog trainer, and I want you to have the life you imagined with your dog - a life of fun, adventure, and amazing memories with your best friend.
And sometimes you just need a little help getting there!
Whether your dog is reactive, just ignoring you, or needs help with manners, I can help.
Who I Work With
While happy to work with most behavior problems and training struggles, I specialize in working with Spokane dogs who struggle with reactivity.
I love seeing reactive dogs rehabbed, off leash, and happily playing with new dog friends.
I know firsthand how frustrating it is to not live the life you imagined with your dog because of their behavior, and it’s why I’m so passionate about helping dogs and their humans live their best lives together.
If you’re tired of struggling on your own or working with trainers and not getting results, you’re in the right place!
How I Train
My training is practical and focuses on real-world results. We don’t train in an empty training facility, we train in the real world with real-world distractions, so your dog will be solidly trained anywhere.
I want to stop the reactivity, get your dog off leash, and start resocializing them. We'll work around other dogs, in the real world, without a ton of treats and without working at a distance and "staying under threshold" for months.
Why I’m Different
I don’t rely on endless "watch me" drills, vague “trust-building,” or simply distracting dogs with food. My training delivers real outcomes you can see and use, with programs built for reactive dogs who need clear, consistent guidance.
I know what it’s like to struggle with reactive dogs. It’s stressful, embarrassing, all-consuming. You wonder what you did wrong. Can they ever be normal?
I also know the joy of resolving it. Of seeing your formerly barking, lunging dog calmly walk by another dog. Of watching your once-aggressive dog make friends and play nicely with other dogs.
Both Olive and Oak, my two current dogs, had reactivity issues. Olive was reactive to dogs, people, and bicycles while Oak was very dog reactive and could even be aggressive. Their reactivity is now resolved, and they help me with train other reactive dogs and join the group hikes.
