TRAIL DOGS

Hikes done for you

Trail Dogs

Dirt trails and wagging tails — dogs were made to explore. They thrive in nature, racing down trails, sniffing the air, and taking in the world in a way a neighborhood walk can’t match.

Nature isn’t just good for dogs — it’s healing. The freedom to move, the sensory stimulation, the quiet — it does something for dogs that nothing else does. For high-energy dogs, anxious dogs, or dogs who just need to feel like dogs again, time on the trail is some of the best therapy there is.

But not every owner can make that happen. Whether it’s time, physical limitations, or the challenge of a reactive dog, Trail Dogs is here to bridge the gap.

I take your dog hiking for you.
If your dog is friendly, they can hike with mine. If they need a solo experience, they’ll get a peaceful, fulfilling hike on their own. Either way, they’ll come home tired, enriched, and deeply satisfied.

How It Works

  • I pick up your dog and drive them to a real hiking trail — no neighborhood loops

  • We hike 3–5 miles, depending on your dog’s needs and ability

  • I drop them back off at home, tired and fulfilled

  • You’ll get photo and video updates so you can see them enjoying their adventure.

Off-leash when appropriate:
Dogs who’ve completed Trail Ready or Trained For You may be hiked off leash. All others will remain leashed for safety. If the area allows, I may use a long line so they can move more freely

Who It’s For

  • Owners who are busy or physically unable to hike

  • High-energy dogs who need more than a walk around the block

  • Fearful or reactive dogs who benefit from solo, low-pressure outings

  • Any dog who would love to get out into nature but doesn’t have the opportunity

What To Expect

This is a premium, one-on-one hiking service — not training, not behavior modification. This is about movement, enrichment, and time in nature, plain and simple.

It’s not dog walking. It’s not daycare. It’s real-world adventure tailored to your dog’s needs — delivered for you.

Meet Olive

Olive is my personal hiking partner and joins me on Trail Dogs hikes when it’s a good fit. She’s friendly, confident, and used to being around dogs — but I’ll always make sure your dog is a match before bringing her along.

If your dog needs a solo hike, that’s exactly what they’ll get. But if they enjoy a trail companion, Olive’s always happy to explore with a new friend.

FAQs

  • Sure! I will only hike a puppy as long as they’re physically able to, so it will likely not be miles, but it’s great for puppies to get out on the trails, too!

  • If they’re okay with me, I will take them out!

  • Totally fine! I’ll hike in more open spaces where navigating around other dogs will be easier - no big deal! Reactive dogs deserve hikes, too!

  • If your dog would enjoy a companion, I’ll bring my dog along. If your dog needs a solo hike, I will leave my dog home. But that’s it. No group! Either just your dog or my dog as well.

  • Dogs can only be off leash if they have gone through my Trail Ready program or my Trained For You program. I must feel confident that they can safely be off leash and recall off other hikers, dogs, wildlife, and horses. Even if you feel your dog has a good recall, I will not let them off leash without having gone through my programs.
