Hi, I’m Carolyn.
Empowering you to be your dog’s best trainer.
I help frustrated but devoted dog owners gain the confidence and skills to improve their dog’s behavior. My goal is for you to enjoy life with your dog—no matter how challenging they may be!
I work with dog owners, both in Spokane and worldwide, providing support for reactive and high-energy dogs.
What I Do:
Rocky, the dog who helped shape me into the trainer I am today.
Why I Do What I Do:
Picture this:
You’ve scraped together the cash, desperate for help with your dog who barks and growls at strangers. A trainer finally shows up. You’re hopeful—this is going to be the turning point.
Except it’s not.
She sits on your couch for an hour, talking at you. No training—just a pitch to sign up for her expensive program. You feel dismissed. Cheated. Frustrated.
Fast forward a few years, and now you’ve got a different dog. A friendly one, but completely out of control. You try a group class, only it feels more like therapy for the humans than dog training. Your dog is bouncing off the walls like a kangaroo on Red Bull. Instead of training, you sit through 45 minutes of the trainer and other students sharing personal stories, and you’re as fed up and bored as your dog, counting the minutes until class is over.
This was my introduction to dog training.
Frustrating. Unhelpful. A waste of time and money. A lot of talk and no actual training.
So I became the trainer I needed back then.
What I do differently
I specialize in reactivity and high-energy dogs, taking a different approach.
I train the way I wish someone had trained me. I meet you where you are, listen to your concerns, and help you understand what’s really driving your dog’s behavior. We’ll build practical, real-life skills that fit into your daily routine.
No wasted time.
No gimmicks.
No fluff.
Just thoughtful, movement-based, practical training that gets to the root of the issue and helps you finally see progress.
Oreo’s Story
When Oreo first came to me, he couldn’t walk past a dog or a person without barking, growling, and lunging—even from a distance. His owner was at the end of her rope.
By the end of our work together, Oreo was calmly walking by dogs and people just feet away. No explosions. No panic. Just peace.
Transformation like that isn’t magic—it’s good training, consistency, and the right support.
Who I Work With
My clients are go-getters.
They’ve already tried a lot of things that didn’t work.
They’re ready to dig deep and won’t give up.
They love their dogs like family, want them to be a part of their life, and won’t settle for surface-level fixes.
If that’s you—we’ll get along great!
